The University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
Welcome to the University of Colorado in Boulder!

The University of Colorado at Boulder is one of the most influential and important educational institutions in the state and in the country. The school’s founding actually precedes the official state of Colorado, since it dates back to 1876. This school consists of 9 colleges and schools. There are over 150 academic programs to take and 3,400 courses individually. The school welcomes almost 30,000 students. The school is proud to mention that six Nobel Laureates attended the university, as well as 17 astronauts and seven MacArthur Fellows.

The architecture of the building is as eclectic as the city itself. Atmosphere-wise, the campus buildings have a great deal in common with Italian rural-style. The rural architecture does fit, considering the appearance of the Boulder foothills.

The school is made up of several individual schools and colleges. The largest of these is the College of Arts and Sciences. Other schools include the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Leeds School of Business. Most programs involving education, architecture, journalism and law provide masters degrees and doctorate level degrees.

For anyone considering enrolling in the University of Colorado in Boulder, know that it belongs to the prestigious Association of American Universities and is ranked 34th among all universities in the world, and 27th in the United States according to Academic Ranking of World Universities.

If you are interested in pursuing a college education, you can look into undergraduate admissions, as well as transfers (seniors in high school or high school graduates), readmission, and continuing education. If you are new to the Boulder area then you will quickly learn that the campus is arguably the most important entity in the city. Not only does it affect traffic and housing (indeed many city residents are college-age) but it also influences culture and lifestyle.
