Are you considering retiring and moving to Colorado? Colorado is known for
being a healthy and fit state and is the perfect place to retire to for active
seniors.
Many seniors retire to the area and rent a town house or condo, so that they
don’t have to worry about lawn maintenance and other worrisome
responsibilities. A home close to shopping and bus routes can prove
convenient. Who wouldn’t want to live near the center of the city?
There are also a number of assisted living locations throughout the Boulder
area such as Alterra Sterling House and Alterra Wynwood. Independent living
facilities in the area include Boulder Meridian, Golden West, Villas at the
Atrium, and Presbyterian Manor. Multilevel facilities include Golden West, The
Academy, and Frasier Meadows. There can be an exceptionally long wait for some
of these homes, so apply early.
There are plenty of things for active seniors to do in the area such as enjoy
the Pearl Street Mall, walk the creek path, or go fishing in Central Park.
Those who are interested in retirement centers will be happy to know that
Boulder East Senior Center is nearby as well as Boulder West. At these
locations, you will find plenty of fun activities and opportunities to
socialize, doing things such as taking a class in ballroom dancing, enjoying an
art fair, or even playing some volleyball.
The Colorado University (CU) offers seniors the chance to take in nearly any
class for a price of $5 to $60. Boulder Parks and recreation offers retirees
the chance to enjoy swimming, yoga, and even a walking group.
Colorado is a beautiful state to enjoy those golden years in. With so much
going on, it is hard not to stay active and healthy. Come see the fun and
healthy living that downtown Boulder, Colorado offers! |
